The X-Cube application performs data collection by creating and storing sequences of spectral images. The system scans a scene or image line by line and acquires spectral line images sequentially, providing spectral information for each image pixel of the sampled line. So data collection is done by recording a series of images on the infrared FPA at each reachable wavelength position of the concerned hyper spectral camera.
The first result of the X-Cube software is a three-dimensional data set, known as a spectral hypercube, with the x and y axis representing spatial information and the z axis representing the spectral information.
Another result of the X-Cube software is creating a colour display of all captured spectral imaging data via pseudo colours. This view can be examined online.
The images captured by the hyper spectral camera can be displayed in real time. In the same display, a recorded hypercube can be analysed in playback mode.
