High resolution uncooled thermal GigE Vision camera

Easy-to-integrate smallest thermal GigE Vision camera

The ruggedized Gobi-640-GigE is a reliable thermal imaging camera for non-contact temperature measurements in industrial machine vision or process control.

The Gobi-640-GigE is perfectly suited for high speed imaging at full 640x480 resolution with frame rates up to 50 Hz or higher in windowing mode. The Gobi-640-GigE combines high image quality with high thermal resolution (0.05 0C) and accurate thermal analysis capabilities.

The Gobi-640-GigE offers full flexibility regarding system integration. The small GigE interface with Power over Ethernet (PoE) results in an ultra-compact camera and can easily communicate with GenICamcompatible vision software. A variety of interchangeable lenses and industry standard accessories are available as well.

Application notes
Thermal electronics inspection Xenics thermal cameras can detect heat defects in electronics before qualification, saving a considerable amount of time and money. The cameras can also be used for critical control of heat dissipation in a working instrument to optimize its life-cycle.
360° Perimeter Security FOVEA, a 360° surveillance system based on the Gobi-640, is an efficient and cost-friendly monitoring system to keep your property safe, day and night.
Haas Laser Technologies partners with Xenics Using a Gobi-640-GigE microbolometer camera from Xenics, Haas Laser Technologies, Inc. has developed a compact, all passive optical design laser beam analyser for focused laser beams from a CO2 laser with wavelength range from 9.3 to 10.6 μm.
Thermal imaging for monitoring rolling element bearings To be reliably operated off-shore wind turbines need an assured downtime and maintenance pattern to keep costs low. A monitoring project carried out by the authors uses an infrared (LWIR) thermal camera placed in the drive trains of such turbines and focusing on their spherical roller bearings.
Laser beam profiling and infrared cameras In this white paper, we will address the general need for laser beam profile analysis. Further, we will briefly describe laser beam analysis instruments and give an overview of laser applications, in particular for infrared wavelengths.
