Compatibility of operating systems Xeneth 2.6 and Xeneth SDK 2.6

Operating system compatibility

Xeneth GUI runs on 32 and 64 bit versions of

  • Windows XP
  • Windows Vista
  • Windows 7
  • Windows 8 and 8.1
  • Windows 10

The Xeneth SDK runs on the 32 and 64-bit versions of

  • Windows XP
  • Windows Vista
  • Windows 7
  • Windows 8 and 8.1
  • Windows 10

For Linux, the SDK supports 32-bit and 64-bit Fedora 16 and Ubuntu 12.04 LTS.

Depending on the purchased product, the system should have at least one of the following communication ports available:

A network card with 100Mbps performance is the minimum, with higher frame rates and/or GigE Vision cameras a Gigabit network card is recommended.

A USB2.0 port.

DB-9 Serial port connectivity is used when only a command and control session is needed, this is usually the case when grabbing the image from the camera by making use of the analog out.

When working with cameras with a CameraLink connection, a frame grabber interface is required. Below is a list of supported CameraLink grabbers. The Xeneth SDK does not support CameraLink communication on Linux. In case of a CameraLink camera, a dedicated frame grabbing interface should be present.

PCI-1428 (
PCIe-1429 (

Extreme compact size and low weight

Given the extremely compact size and low weight of the Xenics XS-1.7-320 SWIR camera it was extremely easy to integrate it into our existing optical setup.
