Job Description

The company offers a complete portfolio of line-scan and area-scan products with a global sales network.
As a product engineer, you will be responsible for specific Xenics’ portfolios. You will contribute to the design of new products and coordinating the manufacturing process for those products, from wafer to sensors to camera. You will be working at our Headquarters, Belgium.
Responsibilities
- Track all metrology and test data for selected products, ensuring they are in line with specifications
- Develop framework to track yield, volume and unit cost for selected products, identify main yield detractors and propose step down plan
- Define and implement reliability testing strategy
- Contribute to package design
- Continuous improvement towards cost reduction
- Lead industrialization of product, from proof of concept to release to production
- Analyze and present data clearly and concisely, with recommendations
- Close relationship with sales for possible differentiation opportunities
- Responsible for customers returns data analysis, 8D, lessons learned
Desired Competencies
- Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in semiconductor product engineering
- Knowledge and understanding in semiconductor physics and opto-electronic devices
- Experience in python or JMP scripting
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Flexible with strong planning and prioritization skills
- Good communication skills and strong knowledge of English is required
