Support & Field Application Engineer North America

We are currently looking for a Support & Field Application Engineer North America for our Sales Office, United States or Home Office, Europe. As a Support & Application Engineer, you will grow Xenics’ revenue and market share on the assigned geographies (North America) and customer base through pre-and post-sales technical support activities aligned with the company’s procedures, strategies, objectives, and target segments.


  • Contribute to users’ experience through technical support and expertise directed towards prospects and customers as well as direct and indirect sales forces in a timely manner
  • Leverage expertise and experience as well as products and applications knowledge to enhance pre-sales activities and hit rate by guiding, assisting, and training customers on the best use of the products and solutions, maintaining satisfaction
  • To be active in the sales team, participating in the pro-active approach with major customers and prospects with the aim of building confidence in Xenics products
  • Providing technical feedback to the internal teams (R&D, Engineering, Production) to improve product performance, usability, capabilities, and users’ experience
  • Report on technical cases, product failures, and defects, and provide customer satisfaction metrics
  • Report and provide inputs to the sales team on customers’ activities, challenges, emerging competitive situations, and progress towards design-in
  • Report on improvements for the ISO quality management system
  • Be the backup for quality inspection of outgoing products

Desired Competencies

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with an experience in technical support activities of high-end technical vision products
  • Experience in vision system or imaging sensors or related industries
  • Good understanding of system and platforms using vision systems across several market segments
  • Machine vision software and associated Image Signal Processing Pipeline
  • Knowledge of infrared would be a plus
  • Good communication skills and ability to translate customers’ feedback and requirements into a system or component description
