Leuven, Belgium, 10 June 2022 — Xenics, Europe’s leading developer and manufacturer in the world of advanced infrared imaging solutions, cameras and customised solutions, will exhibit at Eurosatory from June 13 th to June 17 th.
As Eurosatory gathers world leaders of technologies for defense, Xenics is proud to participate in this major exhibition and will demonstrate its new cutting-edge cameras in SWIR and LWIR spectral bands.
During this exhibition, Xenics will demonstrate LWIR Ceres and Dione series as well as SWIR Bobcat and Wildcat cameras.
Dione series consists of ultra-SWaP thermal module based on cutting-edge 12 μm pitch microbolometer sensors. Designed with a family concept in mind enabling a seamless path up and down, it covers a resolution of QVGA (320×240 pixels), VGA (640×480 pixels) and the leading edge SXGA (1280×1024 pixels). With its ultra-compact design, very low power consumption, and light weight, Dione also gives customers an extremely small latency (typically 100 μs for the VGA format). The shutterless algorithm allows ultra-SWaP Dione version, and when optimised, the shutter offers to Dione S configuration with additional image quality enhancement in fast environment temperature changes. Several interfaces are proposed, which make Dione the perfect SWaP solution for embedded systems. Finally, Dione modules benefit from a very robust design which makes them compatible with harsh environments and thus for defense purposes.
Based on similar building blocks as Dione, the Ceres family offers all the benefits of the 12 μm microbolometer VGA and SXGA formats in fully-featured cameras. Thanks to their thermally optimised design, Ceres cameras offer high stability against environmental changes. The extended embedded capabilities and standard interfaces make the Ceres cameras easy to integrate into high-end vision systems and industrial inspection systems.
During Eurosatory, Xenics will also demonstrate SWIR cameras. With the cost-optimized QVGA (320×256 pixels) Bobcat, SWIR is now affordable and gives customers additional surveillance and uncovering capabilities. On the highest end of the technology, Wildcat offers a compact VGA (640×512 pixels) resolution with high sensitivity and high dynamic, thus enabling higher ranges and detection capabilities.
With its wide portfolio of SWIR and uncooled LWIR cameras, Xenics thus covers a wide range of demanding IR applications from the low cost to the very demanding highest performance ones.
From a global point of view, Xenics’ goal is to provide customers with state-of-the-art affordable innovations that are easy to integrate. This is the reason why all Xenics products are GenICam compliant, and a Linux compatible SDK is proposed.
All Xenics’ team is ready to welcome you at their Stand No. C711 (Hall 6) to help you with SWIR and uncooled LWIR solutions.
